Arty Expressions: Artist Spotlight- ‎Deeganto Joardar

Who are you?

I’m a 23 year old paving my way through the unpredictable cracks of life mostly stumbling (I have feet issues) along the way. Graduated as an architect last year. Worked as an artist and designer for 5 years.

How would you introduce your work to our readers?

Although my work mostly leans towards a darker perspective of things(or non things) it’s greatly steered by the mood I’m currently in.

What are the tools you use to create art?

Traditional media, digital media and anything you can throw at me(literally)

What are your influences?

Growing up, it’s been comics, movies, books and music. Now everything  I see, hear, smell, touch, feel are potential influences. And there’s potential everywhere. It’s about when that potential turns into a piece of art  is what’s mattered.

 How do you interpret art?

Art is a form of expression. It has its own language and it’s integral to learn that language and it’s many dialects to be able to understand or create it.

How would you define your relationship with sloth- the “sin”, not the animal?

There is almost no space for sloth in my life. Except those clear nights on a hill outside the city when you can hear the sky unfold a story of its own
